Section 2. Download and Installation of ARFX App for Windows

Section 2.1 Download the ARFX App

Visit the ARwall website and navigate to the ARFX App page.

1. Click on the Free Download for Windows button. The installer will download as an installer.exe file to your PC.

2. When downloading the ARFX App installer, you may encounter a security warning in your browser. Follow the steps below to safely proceed with the installation.

3. You may see this message in your Downloads bar stating “What do you want to do with the installer.exe?” Click “Open"

4. You may see this warning message:
   “installer.exe isn’t commonly downloaded. Make sure you trust installer.exe before you open it.”

5. Hover over the installer message and click the three dots to the right.

6. In the menu that appears, select Keep to confirm that you trust the installer.

7. Click Show More carrot and click Keep Anyway to bypass the security warning.

Section 2.2 Bypass Windows Defender SmartScreen

While installing, you might encounter Windows Defender SmartScreen warnings. Follow these steps to bypass the warning and continue with the installation.

1. Run the Installer: Locate the installer (Installer.exe) in your Downloads folder.

2. Once you have bypassed these security warnings, double-click the “installer.exe” file to run the installer.

3. SmartScreen warning: You may see the following screen saying, "Windows protected your PC."

4. To bypass the SmartScreen: Click on More Info.

5. Click Run Anyway: After clicking More Info, click on the Run Anyway button to continue with the installation.

6. Once you click the Run Away button, you will be prompted with a command-line interface requesting agreement to terms of transaction.

7. The system requires you to review and agree to the terms of the Microsoft Store transaction before proceeding.

8. You are required to confirm your agreement by typing Y and pressing Enter.

Section 2.3 Download Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime

1. Once the terms have been accepted, the installation process will proceed by downloading necessary requirements. In this case, the Microsoft .NET Desktop Runtime 8.0 is required.

2. The app will automatically find and download the required .NET runtime.

   

3. The download progress bar will indicate the status until completion.

   Section 2.4 Enter your Credentials and Sign-In

   After the necessary requirements are downloaded and the installation is successful, the ARFX App will prompt you to sign in to your account.

   The ARFX App provides multiple sign-in options to make accessing the platform as convenient as possible. You can choose to log in with your email and password or use one of the available social login options. Follow the instructions below based on your preferred login method.

   

   Option 1: Sign In with Email and Password

   • On the sign-in screen, enter the email address and password that you used when creating your ARFX account.

   • Click the Sign In button to proceed.

   • If your credentials are correct, you will be logged into the app and redirected to the ARFX marketplace.

   Option 2: Sign In with Social Login

   If you signed up using the same email address associated with one of the available social accounts, you can use any of those accounts to log in. The ARFX App supports social login options like Google, Facebook, or Microsoft.

   • On the sign-in screen, select one of the available social login options (e.g., Sign in with Google or Sign in with Facebook).

   • Follow the prompts to authorize access to your social account.

   • If the email linked to your social account is the same as the one used during your ARFX account signup, you will be successfully signed in.

   • You will be redirected to the ARFX marketplace after authentication.

   Option 3: Sign Up for a New Account

   If you don't have an ARFX account, you can easily create one by following the steps below:

   • On the sign-in screen, click the Sign Up Now link.

   • Enter your email address, create a password, and fill in any additional required information.

   • Once all fields are completed, click Create Account.

   • After creating the account, use your email and password to log in or use the social login option if you prefer.

Section 2.5 ARFX Marketplace

If the sign-in is successful you will be logged into the app and redirected to the ARFX marketplace.

Here you can have instant access to a diverse range of high-quality virtual scenes from ARwall and other creators. You can browse and purchase or subscribe to scene collections or individual scenes, such as forest environments, office interiors, and even space station settings, among others.

The marketplace is regularly updated with new content, ensuring you have access to the latest and most immersive scenes for your virtual production projects.
